Webinars

  • When: First Thursday of the month.
  • Where: Online.

We will continue our Q&A Webinars held on the first Thursday of every month at 3pm GMT / 10:00 am EST. The webinars, scheduled to last 50 minutes, are a convenient way to ask questions and listen in on general discussions about using plant record systems.

“Data Import Special”

Our next webinar on Thursday 2nd February will focus on “Data Import”. We will go through a classic example of importing a spreadsheet of accessions and cover topics such as “tidying up the data”, “Splitting taxon name”, etc.

UK User Meeting – PlantNetwork Training Day

  • When: May 3-4
  • Where: Mount Stuart, Isle of Bute, Scotland

Mount Stuart Trust at the Isle of Bute are kindly hosting this year’s UK  User Meeting that will precede the PlantNetwork Plant Records Training Day. The User meeting will be held on Wednesday morning, which will be followed by the PlantNetwork programme starting at 13:00. The PlantNetwork programme includes a tour of Mount Stuart and a full day on Thursday. Hope to see you there.

Call for papers/presenters: The User meeting will include sessions covering new and upcoming features as well as presentations from the user community. If you would like to participate, please get in touch.

European User Conference

  • When: May 11-12
  • Where: Hortus Botanicus Leiden, Netherlands

Hortus Botanicus Leiden, established in 1587, will be hosting the 2017 European user conference. Thursday includes an optional programme with an “Introductory training” session in the morning followed by a tour in the afternoon and dinner in the evening. On Friday, we will have a full day with exciting presentations from the community and our team.

Call for papers/presenters: Following up the success of last year’s conference, this year we will focus on Sharing User Experiences and we hope to get as much of the programme as possible to contain presentations from the user community. If you would like to participate, please get in touch.

Workshops at APGA 2017 Annual Conference

  • When: June 6-10
  • Where: Hamilton, Ontario, Canada

As a sponsor of the American Public Gardens Association Conference 2017, we will host two shorter workshops as part of the conference programme.

Registration is expected to open in early march.
