Floria App Manager

Version 5.1

Floria App Manager 5 is compatible with IrisBG Desktop version 3.6.4 and later*. The new version is designed to improve workflow and reduce IrisBG compatibility issues going forward. Although we are expecting fewer such issues, we will test for compatibility with newer versions of IrisBG Desktop when they are released and publish the results below. With the new version of App Manager, we advise that you also ensure that staff members have the latest app Floria v5 version installed.

Note: Floria App Manager 5 uses the IrisBG data import feature, so you will be required to have this feature as part of your IrisBG licence. For more details about what is included in version 5, please visit this page. You can install App Manager Version 5 alongside App Manager version 4.x.

Version 5.1.0 (2022-06-28). Tested for IrisBG Desktop version 3.6.4 and up to version 4.2.5 and more recently, with IrisBG Desktop version 4.4.1 – 4.5.1.

Floria 5 and IrisBG compatibility*

With IrisBG version 4.4.1, release July 2021, the data import capabilities required by the Floria App Manager is again made available to IrisBG users. If you are using IrisBG version 4.2.5 or older, you are good to go. We are hopeful that the IrisBG data import interface will remain stable and reliable going forward. However, if you are uncertain about compatibility, check that you are using the version mentioned above or get in touch.

Older versions of Floria App Manager

Floria App Manager version 4.x and 3.x are compatible with IrisBG Desktop of the same [major].[minor].[build] version number, up until version 4.2.3. However, regardless of IrisBG version, we recommend you upgrade to App Manager 5. You can find out which version of IrisBG Desktop you have via the help/about menu.

Make sure you have no pending inbox entries in IrisBG Desktop before you upgrade your system.

Download the version that corresponds with the IrisBG Desktop [major].[minor].[build] version you have installed. Please follow this installation guide and check out the version history for information about the latest release.

Floria Mobile and Mobile Sync

Floria Mobile is designed for Windows Embedded Handheld which is no longer being supported nor developed by Microsoft and access to mobile devices is limited. The software platform has not been updated since 2010 and Microsoft announced the end of all support for the platform on the 14th of January 2020. The replacement product, Floria Handheld has been available for more than 2 years, which hopefully will have provided a reasonable amount of time for customers to switch over.

We will continue to offer technical assistance to users who are still using the platform, but there will be no further compatibility updates to Floria Mobile Sync. The final IrisBG Desktop version supported by Floria Mobile Sync will be IrisBG desktop version 4.2.3.

Download the version that corresponds with the IrisBG Desktop [major].[minor] version you have installed. You can find out which version of IrisBG Desktop you have via the help/about menu. Please follow this installation guide.

Batch Jobs

Batch Jobs is compatible with IrisBG Desktop of the same [major] version number. You can find out which version of IrisBG Desktop you have via the help/about menu.

Download the version that corresponds with the IrisBG Desktop [major] version you have installed.

Microsoft Excel and Word Addin

To install the add-in please download the zip file and run the “setup.exe” program. The installation will require administrative privileges to the PC. During installation, please click “more info” on the Windows Defender Smartscreen to proceed with the installation.
